Updates

Welcome to the XGS Page updates blog.  This page contains news about changes and updates to the site.

Update # 7 -- XGS Mirror Goes Online

The XGS mirror is now online.  The last entry in the wayback archive is over 1 year old and the archive itself is no longer online.  We released this mirror in order to preserve the XGS archives for the community.

Update # 6

More disk images have been added to the 2mg section.

KEGS keeps getting better and better.  Someboy port the dog gone thing!  >:>

Update # 5

I've added links to XGS-Mac and XGS-NeXT.   I've also converted more disk images for the 2mg section.   Due to popular request, I've embellished the section of the FAQ  that explains how to convert your old GS disks into something useable on a PC.

Update # 4

Major update

The page has been seriously re-vamped.  All links should now work.  The XGS images have been moved to a newer (faster) server.  Many new additions.  Poke around...

Update # 3

I've relocated the archive to a new server.

The XGS 2mg Archive is back online once more.

That being said...  I need some help with the legalities of the images.  Although I'm aware that most of these images are still under copyright, most (all?) of them are no longer available for sale.  If anyone could point out any specific image that is still available for sale (generic "you're a pirate" messages will be mailbombed back to you in the most unpleasant manner available to me), please e-mail me and I will remove it/them.

Update # 2

I've added a few more images and cleaned up some things.  It has come to my attention that I was offering a few programs for download that were still available for sale.  These have been removed with apologies to the authors.  Again, if you see something on this site which you believe does not belong here, please e-mail me - this site is here to preserve the GS, not destroy it.

Update # 1

Well, it's been a few years, so I guess that it's time for an update... >:>

It looks like the XGS project has lost a bit of steam and things are currently in limbo.  For a number of reasons, Invid has taken his site down...    This means that the XGS mailing list (when was the last time that it was used, anyway???) is also dead.  Currently, I'm getting a LOT of e-mail from people looking for XGS related stuff.  So, I figured that I'd get off my butt, gather together what I have and make it available (finally).

But first...  A couple of things.

My file server is beleaguered thing.  Please be gentle with it.    Mass getright downloading off my server kills the other services that the box offers.  This machine is periodically unavailble once or twice a day.  If you're having trouble connecting, please try again later.
